Our history

Born from a rainforest in Malaysia, a province known for the pristine white sand beaches of Boracay Island, the vision grew to showcase the flavors of the Philippines and shed light on its rich folklore history. Founded in 2016 with an award-winning Australian distiller and a Filipino master mixologist, Destileria Barako was born - where technological innovation meets indigenous, locally foraged ingredients to create unique handcrafted spirits and introduce the world to the flavors of the Philippines

All of our products come from the Philippines and are only produced sustainably and fairly there. In order to stimulate the economy in this country, we make sure to only commission regional farmers to harvest our Ube sweet potatoes. In this way we are doing something very good for the people in the region and at the same time we can supply the European market with a unique product.
